Equestrian Training in Louisiana: About Us

Right Lead Equestrian Trainer, Michelle Barr, a native of Shreveport, Louisiana, began her horseback riding lessons at the tender age of five at a fox hunting barn before transitioning into the world of show hunters. Growing up as the daughter of a now-retired Air Force Colonel, Michelle brings a wealth of energy, organization, and devotion to her equestrian training for students. Their complete joy in learning and achieving goals with their horses is a testament to Michelle Barr's unique and supportive teaching style.

Michelle Barr competed in high school and college, where she started what was then the only Intercollegiate Horse Show Association in the state of Louisiana. After graduating from the Louisiana Scholar’s College, she considered a career as a technical writer in the chemical industry. However, it didn’t take long for Michelle to realize her true passion lay in equestrian training. She became actively involved with the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) and passed her Registered Instructor Exam with an impressive score of 99%, paving the way for her to offer horseback riding lessons to those in need.
